It is not uncommon to note that between work, school, sports, and extracurricular activities, most family members feel disconnected from each other. Even the weekends that most people depend on to get together as a family usually do not provide enough time because not only do some people work on weekends, there is not enough time on the weekend to catch up. Oftentimes, taking a family vacation is the best way to get reconnected with loved ones because it helps to eliminate distractions and excuses. A good family vacation does not have to be very expensive or very long. It can be for just some few days at a nearby town or somewhere affordable and quiet. The main key is to provide a quality time with family or loved ones away from distractions. This “quality time” provides bonding and re-connections between parents, siblings, family members.

We all know that good memories last long and make life more fun. There is nothing as refreshing as looking back and remembering good old memories especially the ones with family members or loved one. They put a lasting smile on ones face.

Stress associated with work, family, school, and everyday activities can cause physical, mental, and emotional health issues. Spending some quality time together as a family away from home and daily routine can bring about laughter, listening, knowing and understanding each other more. Vacation brings more experience and excitement

When I look back to the memories of a family trip we took a year ago I remembered how the kids were sitting at the back and talking to each other, reading, watching movies, and looking outside the window and pointing at things. Remembering the excitement on their faces during and after the trip was even more fun than the vacation itself. The experience we had by just embarking on that long trip cannot be well expressed. My kids were able to see the zoo, different recreation parks, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and other numerous nice places. Up till date, my first son is still asking when we should go again.
